What GEF Earn is
GEF Earn lets you discover and access yield-generating opportunities on independent third-party protocols — such as Aave, Morpho and Spark — directly through GEF One. GEF does not create, operate or control these protocols, and does not guarantee their performance, security or availability.
Not a GEF product, not a deposit
GEF Earn is not a savings account, deposit account or GEF-held balance, and GEF is not your counterparty for any Earn position. Deposits are held on-chain, directly in your own wallet, governed entirely by the relevant protocol's own smart contract code — GEF Earn positions are not FDIC-insured, are not covered by any equivalent deposit-protection scheme, and are not guaranteed by GEF or any Licensed Partner.
Yield is variable, never guaranteed
Annual percentage yield (APY) shown for a vault reflects that protocol's current, publicly reported rate and can rise, fall or go to zero at any time, including after you deposit, for reasons entirely outside GEF's control. Historical or current APY is never a forecast of future returns, and sorting vaults by APY or other factual fields is for reference only — never investment advice or a suitability determination.
How GEF selects vaults
GEF applies its own internal criteria — including minimum liquidity, approved protocols and GEF's own risk classification — before a vault appears in GEF One. This review reduces, but does not eliminate, the risks below, and is not a guarantee of safety or suitability for your circumstances.
Key risks to understand
Every Earn position carries smart contract risk (a bug or exploit in a protocol's code could cause partial or total loss of deposited funds), protocol and counterparty risk (a protocol may change its terms, pause withdrawals or cease operating), market risk (the value of deposited or underlying assets can fall independently of any yield earned), liquidity risk (redemption depends on the protocol having sufficient liquidity at the time you redeem), and irreversibility (once a deposit or redemption transaction is broadcast on-chain, GEF cannot reverse, cancel or recover it). Review the full Risk Disclosure before depositing.
Technology infrastructure
GEF Earn is powered by LI.FI's routing and execution infrastructure. LI.FI is a technology and infrastructure provider, not a regulated financial provider for any Earn transaction, and is not GEF's partner for custody or investment advice.
Fees, shown before you confirm
GEF's platform fee — and, where a redemption shows a real gain over your own deposits made through GEF's app, a performance fee calculated only on that gain — are both shown separately from network, bridge and protocol costs before you sign. GEF never applies a performance fee to your original principal or to a redemption showing no gain.
This isn't investment advice
Information on this page and within GEF Earn is general information only, not investment, legal or tax advice, and not a recommendation to use any particular vault or protocol. Consider speaking with an independent adviser before depositing, and see the full Risk Disclosure for complete detail.
